I’ve been helping Save Dog Shelter for a long time, but I had never thought about adopting. Then one day, they posted a photo of two adorable little creatures online. In that moment, I felt in my heart that it was time for me to take a bigger step and turn my home into a new beginning filled with love for these two special lives.

The shelter started in 2008, and even while pregnant, Andrezza felt a calling in her heart to care for the oppressed and the innocent. Every day, sick and starving animals on the verge of death are abandoned at her doorstep.
We have already lost 20 little angels to hunger. While the world turns its back on us, we are trying to save 80 more innocent lives. Scared, injured, just wanting a bowl of food. Every donation turns into food, medicine, and hope. We need you to save them! Help us now!

The fight for animal rescue is unfair! Everything it takes to save an animal’s life is expensive. We currently have $ 23,462.15 in debt, which prevents us from saving all the animals who need surgery. We only succeed when we receive donations to rescue, treat, and give all the love these animals deserve.

Before and After
A mother’s love heals and transforms lives. Many animals arrive here unable to walk. Others arrive trembling in pain. Others have never known what it feels like to be held, what love is. Even with all our struggles, our shelter has been the best home these hearts have ever known.
Giant
Giant was abandoned twice, and the second time we found him with a broken leg. They wanted to amputate it, but we didn’t allow it. Instead, an external fixator was placed on his leg, and Giant recovered and lived a life full of joy, with no lasting effects.
Bob
They were going to take Bob into the woods to kill him because he was sick. Thank God someone warned me in time and I went to rescue him. He was lying on the sidewalk and could barely lift his head. With months of care and love, he was healed. Today he is healthy and has a new family.
Izzy
When we rescued Izzy, she was extremely thin, close to dying from cancer. As soon as we rescued her, we launched an online campaign and performed her surgery. Today she is healthy and loves playing with her friends at the shelter.
Snowy
We found Snowy being dragged by a rope by a man with mental health issues. We rescued him from the abuser and healed not only the wounds on his neck, but also the sadness in his eyes.
Meet Andrezza!
Andrezza has been rescuing animals for over 18 years. It all started at her doorstep, when she saw a severely injured dog looking at her as if begging for help one last time, and she rescued her. What started as a single act became a life purpose.
An abandoned animal appeared at her door, then another, and that’s how Save Dog Shelter was born, with love, effort, improvisation, and almost no resources. Today, more than 80 dogs depend entirely on the shelter.
Many arrive injured, filthy, some even being eaten alive. But here, for the first time, they find care and protection. We are the only shelter in the entire city. And our struggle to feed all our animals is daily. The survival of the shelter depends on help. Donate and be part of this story.

Pitty
We learned about Pitty’s story online and were deeply moved. She was rejected by her former owner and ended up in the hands of someone who abused her, leaving her tied up and without food. Even from 400 km away, I contacted the shelter to change her story. Today she lives like a queen, surrounded by love and safety.
Foxy
Our family felt complete when we adopted Foxy. Her story of going back and forth between adoptions and abandonment moved us deeply and made us want to be her forever family. Today, years later, she is still the joy of our home. Our children love her, and we are very grateful to the shelter for all the support and for this incredible opportunity.
